Considering Art Markets : Southeast Asia

I will be moderating a panel at the Art Week Conversations titled : Considering Art Markets : Southeast Asia with panelists Jim Amberson, Jimmy Chua and Wang Zineng on 16 January Monday, 7:30pm at ION Art.

With their input, I will attempt to bring participants through a critical look at some of the structural changes that have taken place in the international and Southeast Asian art scenes (headlines that readers of the Asian Art Scrapbook page have been to); amongst others,

- the "power centre" of the Southeast Asian art market - is there one and can there only one ? - new art scenes that are content rich but still under the radar - how the internet has changed the art market - the collaborations in the art scene - are they all good ?

In the discussions we will unpack the implications of these changes, the winners and losers of the new paradigm and issues stakeholders need to be mindful of as they navigate the new landscape.

I have 4 complimentary tickets to offer to members of the Asian Art Scrapbook community. Please PM me directly. First-come-first-served. There are 2 other sessions on Art Week Conversations - check them out. For ticketing information, kindly purchase tickets at :

The quality of discussions rest on the participants and that means you! Come and enrich our discussions.
